Saving and iCloud
Where is my save?
The game autosaves at every month end and when you leave the app. Pause ▸ Save game writes it now. There are three save slots under Pause ▸ Save slots; each slot has a device copy and an iCloud copy.
I got an "iCloud conflict" screen.
Two devices saved the same slot at different times. The screen shows both with their day and cash. Pick the one you want to keep; the other is overwritten. Nothing is deleted until you choose.
Can I move my game to a new phone?
Yes. With iCloud on, the save follows your Apple Account. Without iCloud, use Pause ▸ Backup ▸ Export to copy a save code, then Import on the other device.
Controllers and keyboards
Which controllers work?
PlayStation (DualShock 4, DualSense), Xbox (One, Series, Elite, Adaptive), Steam Controller, Nintendo Switch Pro, and MFi pads. Pair in iOS Settings ▸ Bluetooth. A ring shows what is selected; the strip at the bottom of the lot lists the buttons. Settings ▸ Game controller has a live test screen and a confirm/back swap.
Keyboard shortcuts on iPad?
Settings ▸ Keyboard shortcuts lists them. Space pauses, 1 to 4 set speed, E ends the day, B opens Build, D opens the dashboard.
Gameplay
The bank pulled my line. Is the game over?
Cash below −$50,000 ends a career. Start a new one, replay the campaign, or open Sandbox from the title screen to build without money pressure.
How do I rename the store or an employee?
Store: Settings ▸ Store name. Employees: Roster ▸ tap a name ▸ edit.
What is a lot code?
Records ▸ Share my lot code makes a short code describing your buildings, décor, levels, and rating. A friend pastes it into Visit a lot on the title screen to walk your store read-only.
The screen was blank when I opened the app.
Force-quit and reopen. If it repeats, email us with your device and iOS version; the build number is on the title screen once it loads.
