Questions about a check, Safari settings, network discovery, or privacy?

What to include

Tell us which device and operating-system version you use, your Vira version, what you tried, and what happened. Include an error message if useful. Remove private details from screenshots before attaching them. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or a full private message unless you choose to share it and it is necessary to explain the issue.

Safari blocking

Check whether the Vira extension is enabled in Safari settings and whether Vira reports a successful rule reload. Configured rules, loaded rules, and an enabled extension are separate states. Safari can retain its last loaded rules while Vira is closed. Open Vira to change your configured rules.

If a legitimate site is blocked, review your custom blocks and exceptions in Vira. You can pause configured rules or disable the extension in Safari to stop blocking. If a rule change fails to load, disable the extension in Safari settings.

Camera and image checks

Live camera scanning is available on supported iPhone and iPad models. On Mac, capture a still image with an available camera for local text and QR recognition. If camera input is unavailable, choose an image or paste text. Review extracted text for reading errors. A check describes warning signs; it does not certify a sender, product, document, photo, or video as authentic.

Clear session data or reset saved rules

In Vira’s Privacy screen, Clear submitted content & network results removes submitted text, findings, network observations, and room labels from the current session.

Reset saved Safari configuration separately removes custom blocks and exceptions, and current and previous configurations. Vira then asks Safari to load empty rules. If Safari cannot apply the reset, disable the extension in Safari settings to stop previously loaded rules.

Network discovery

Allow local network access in system settings and use discovery only on a network you own or are authorized to manage. Results show supported advertised services and addresses, not a complete device inventory or the identities of people. Sleeping devices, guest-network isolation, and permissions can limit results. Room labels are entered by you; the map does not measure physical locations.
