Apple app in development
Think before
you tap.
A clearer view of suspicious messages, links, and your local network. Vira helps you pause, review warning signs, and choose your next step.
Being built for iPhone, iPad, and Mac
What Vira is building
Useful checks.
Clear boundaries.
The Apple app is in active development. These features are being implemented and tested; public App Store availability has not been announced.
01 / CHECKRead before you react.
Review messages and links with on-device checks. Extract text and QR codes from selected images, supported iPhone/iPad live scanning, or a Mac camera still image.
Recognition can make mistakes. No warning found means unverified, not safe. Images do not prove authenticity.
02 / SAFARIRules you can understand.
Manage your own domain blocks and exceptions. Review rule loading and Safari’s reported extension state separately.
Applies to matching Safari requests when rules are loaded and enabled. Custom rules are not a comprehensive threat database.
03 / NETWORKKnow what’s visible.
Discover supported services advertised on a network you are authorized to manage. See available addresses and organize observations with room labels you assign.
A partial service view, not a complete device inventory or people tracker. Room labels do not measure physical locations.
04 / RECOVERYFind a practical next step.
Get basic guidance after clicking, sharing a password, paying, or installing something. Official resources open only when you choose them.
Vira cannot recover funds or certify that a device is uncompromised. Urgent payment issues belong with your payment provider.
Privacy by design
Your checks stay
on your device.
Vira’s development version has no account, cloud analysis, advertising, or analytics SDK.

- Local analysisSubmitted text, images, and network observations are not uploaded for analysis. Selected iCloud images may download through Apple’s picker.
- Explicit connectionsLocal network discovery runs when requested. External support and recovery links open only when you choose them.
- Controls that explain the differenceClear the current session or separately reset saved Safari rules and rollback history. Safari may need to be disabled if it cannot confirm a reset.
Before you get started
A few things to know.
Can Vira tell me whether something is real or fake?
Vira can recognize text and QR codes, check for supported warning patterns. It cannot conclusively authenticate a person, sender, product, document, photo, or video. Verify important requests through a trusted channel you already know.
Does Safari protection work while the app is closed?
Safari can retain successfully loaded custom rules while Vira is closed. Open Vira to change or pause your rules, or disable the extension in Safari settings to stop blocking.
Will the network map show where someone is?
No. It shows supported advertised services and available addresses. Names may be spoofed, some devices advertise nothing, and multiple services can belong to one device. Room labels are entered by you; the app does not identify people or measure a device’s physical location.
Where can I download Vira?
Vira is still in development. There is no public App Store download announced here. Camera behavior, native Safari enforcement, permissions, and supported-device workflows require release testing before broader availability.
